Item description from seller

268p octavo, A near fine copy in red cloth following the Kansas City edition of 1916 (per OCLC). A crisp clean copy with mild dust soiling to the spine. In the elusive dust jackt, very good with a few short tears and shallow chips at the extremities. 5 in OCLC. This copy boldly and warmly signed and inscribed by Shapiro on the front free endpaper: "Chicago, III, July 16/33. With greetings of the [acronym difficult to read] Progress, Tea [?] to Gertrude Gilman from Anna R Shapiro 312 Washington Blvd Maywood III" The inscrutable acronym followed by "Progress" is probably a reference to the Chicago World's Fair, whose theme was "A Century of Progress" and which was taking place at the time of the inscription. Small ink notation on the front flap of the jacket. Not in Rideout.
