This is a Good Copy of this Book in blue pictorial soft cover wraps with new blue linen spine which holds the contents of the book together very nicely.This copy has NO previous owner's names or inscriptions present.It has though been Signed and Inscribed by Andrews on the Title Page and reads. '' To the only woman boxing promoter and teacher of amateur athletes in the country,with kindest regards Tom S Andrews 1940 '' The outer cover wraps are a little creased and worn to the edges,mostly affecting corners,with one previous tape repair to the top right hand corner of the book and there is one small burn hole to the B&W frontispiece of Tom Andrews present (see pic) Contents remain pretty clean with some tanning as you would expect to the pages.There are NO loose leaves and no tears apart from one miniscule tear to the top right corner of the tite page with some 8mm of loss.Comprehensive work full of stats and portrait pictures of famous boxers through the ages and their fighting records,titles etc.Fascinating history of boxing from the time of Figg to the present day.The binding is firm with NO hinge weakness.Scarce with Author's inscription present.8vo 253pp.
