London. Collins. 14 St. James Place. 1948. Octavo (8 x 5 1/2). 320 pp. First United Kingdom Edition. Signed by Roderick Haig-Brown on the half-title page. Illustrated by Stephen Russ. Haig-Brown writes eloquently about fishing in his home rivers, the Campbell and the Nimpkish, as well as the streams of his youth in England. Haig-Brown's descriptions and accounts of the men and women who shaped and influenced his early life are central to the book's themes. The book is bound in brown cloth with gilt titles on the spine. Pictorial dust jacket. The book is clean and very good in a near very good dust jacket with the spine panel age-toned and light foxing to the inside of the jacket.(By the way, this is first example of this edition signed that I've handled, and I've dealt with H-B books for a good number years).
