RARE SIGNED personal appearance contract for the great Louis Armstrong to appear in concert at the Indiana University Auditorium, Bloomington, Indiana on November 21, 1958 for the sum of $2,500.00. The first important soloist to emerge in jazz, Armstrong is recognized as the most influential musician in the genre's history. Nicknamed "Satchmo," "Pops" and, later, "Ambassador Satch," he was a trumpeter, bandleader, singer, soloist, film star and comedian.
