SIGNED HANDWRITTEN LETTER AND ENVELOPE TO GEORGE RYLANDS ON CLARENCE HOUSE HEADED PAPER

Original Signed handwritten letter with handwritten and stamped 'ER' envelope addressed to George Rylands Esq., Kings College, Cambridge. The letter and envelope on official paper, dated 10 April 1989, carry the Clarence House Royal crests for HM, Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. The letter appears to be hastily handwritten and addressed to 'Dear Mr Rylands' with thanks for the gift of his recent anthology "Croaked the Raven," also referring to an earlier publication 'Quoth The Raven' with a delightful insight "Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was entranced by it and I have frequently seen her Majesty tipping into it in the intervening years."
