Single black & white photo, measuring roughly 5x7 inches. In Very Good condition. Some scratching and creasing present. Signed by Ebba on bottom of photo in Hebrew. With purple stamp in Hebrew on verso, reading, "from the collection of Avraham Shadmon." Also on verse, handwriting in red ink reads "Abba Eban, minister of foreign affairs." Shelved in Case 0 binder. Abba Eban (1915-2002) was a South African-born Israeli diplomat and politician. He served as the second Israeli ambassador to the United States as well as the first Permanent Representative of Israeli to the United States. In 1947, he was a liaison officer to the United National Special Committee on Palestine. There, he helped win approval of Resolution 181 which partitioned Palestine into Jewish and Arab segments. From 1960-1963, he served as Ben-Gurion's Minister of Education & Culture, and later as Minster of Foreign Affairs. 1390771. Shelved Dupont Bookstore. Seller Inventory # 1390771
