Full vellum over boards measuring 10 in. x 6 1/4 in., clip-stapled thrice. Printed in 14 point Bembo type. Ecru endpapers. Top edge gilt. Housed in a hand-made slipcase of ecru paper over cardboard. One or two inconsequential, faint black smudges to slipcase. In this Special Press Edition, the two extra drypoint engravings, each signed by artist Jack Coughlin, are laid in, in a special folder at rear. The Italian versions were prepared for this edition by Helga Patrikios from the definitive text published by Sansoni, Florence. The English texts follow that prepared by Robin Skelton for the Dolmen Press Editon of TRANSLATIONS, 1961. The portrait vignettes were drawn by Jack Coughlin for this edition. Printed at the Dolmen Press, Dublin, in an edition of seven hundred and seventy-five copies, of which seventy-five, signed by the Editor, have two extra drypoint engravings each SIGNED by the artist. These special copies, numbered 1 to 75, are specially bound and, of them, fifty only were for sale.…
