Kevin Jeffrey and his wife, Nan, are writers and owners of Avalon House Publishing, a small press specializing in books on family adventure. Their current titles include Adventuring With Children, Best Places To Go-A Family Destination Guide To The World, and The Complete Buyer's Guide To The Best Outdoor & Recreation Equipment. Kevin and Nan also coauthored Boatowner's Energy Planner and Free Energy Afloat. The Jeffrey family has cruised extensively on multihulls since 1980, and their articles on family adventuring and renewable energy have appeared in Cruising World, Multihulls, Ocean Voyager, and Sail magazines. Charles E. Kanter and his wife, Corinne, are free-lance marine writers and owners of SAILco Press, a small publisher specializing in marine books. Their current titles include The Galley Kiss Cookbook, a nautical best-seller written by Corinne. Corinne writes a regular cooking column called Corinne's Culinary Corner" for Multihulls magazine and the "Keep It Simple System" column in Living Aboard magazine. Charles authored the book Cruising On More Than One Hull! and his articles have appeared in Coastal Cruising, Cruising World and Multihulls magazines and in Soundings. He is an experienced yacht surveyor and delivery captain, a long-time member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, a Commodore in the Seven Seas Cruising Association, and a member of the American Boat and Yacht Council, the Chesapeake Cruising Multihull Association and the Multihull Association of Southern Florida. Charles and Corinne co-authored The 13th Trip and Other Sea Stories. They purchased their first multihull in 1971 and have been liveaboard cruisers since 1980.
