Mitarbeiter von Gustav Georg Lange und Geschäftspartner von Johann Poppel. Zu den bekanntesten Werken, für die er Illustrationen anfertigte, zählen Meyers Universum (1833 ff.) und die Galerie Europäischer Städte (1845 ff.). Kurz gilt als einer der produktivsten Stahlstecher seiner Zeit.Ludwig Lange (1808 Darmstadt - 1868 München). Deutscher Architekt, Landschafts- und Architekturmaler, Bruder von Julius und Gustav Georg Lange. Arbeitet mit letzterem zusammen an den 1832 herausgebrachten Originalansichten der vornehmsten Städte in Deutschland. Veröffentlichte selbst unter anderem 1842 Der Rhein und die Rheinlande.
