Aus: Robert Batty, Hanoverian and Saxon Scenery (London: Robert Jennings 1829). Unterschulenberg wurde mitsamt der steinernen Brücke 1956 zugunsten des Okerstausees geflutet. Papier marginal fleckig. Insgesamt guter Erhaltungszustand.William Raymond Smith (1776 - 1837 London). Englischer Stahlstecher. Spätestens ab 1818 in London tätig.Robert Batty (1789 London - 1848 London). Oft nur Captain Batty. Englischer Offizier, Maler, Zeichner, Aquarellist, Radierer und Illustrator. Brach ein Medizinstudium in Cambridge ab. Ging zur britischen Armee, kämpfte im Gardegrenadierregiment unter anderem in der Schlacht bei Waterloo und wurde Offizier, worauf seine Signatur 'Captain Batty' hinweist. 1822-33 unternahm er Reisen in die Niederlande, nach Belgien, Frankreich und Deutschland. Er fertigte zahlreiche Vedutenskizzen, die später von anderen Künstlern für seine Ansichtenwerke gestochen wurden. In der Platte rechts unten signiert: ENGRAVED BY W.R. SMITH.
