Signed by Author Joe Haldeman, on the Story Title Page for Passages Carefully handled, Text clean, Bindings firm. The magazine is from the estate of Jeri Kandel of Sarasota, Florida. Jeri an aspiring Sci Fi/Horror author was active in the Florida West Coast Sci Fi Fantasy community. She was a "volunteer" for DragonCon in Atlanta and other Florida West Coast and Orlando events as an active member of ASFA where she acquired amazing autographs. Passages is a good, Hugo-nominated short story [1983] by Haldeman, solidly written and well received, but not a cornerstone of his career. Its worth noting for fans and collectors of his work, and it helps fill in the story of his development as a writer of short fiction. HALDEMAN, Joe (b. 1943). American science fiction author, best known for The Forever War (Hugo and Nebula Awards). A Vietnam veteran, his works explore war, technology, and human experience; essential figure in late 20th-century speculative fiction. Ref: isfdb.
