Wonderfully tight and handsome later printing of #268, first published in this form in 1950 -- this copy based on binding and jacket circa 1960. Choice autograph addition: Extra-illustrated with unique frontispiece, for tipped facing the title page is an Autograph Note Signed from Mark Van Doren, 1p, 7" X 2 3/4", Falls Village, CT, n.d. Addressed to Mr. Trevelyan. Near fine. Cordial note to admirer, boldly penned in black ink: "Gladly, if you will send it here. And thanks for your kind words." Signed in full.
