Pitcher with the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians, debuting in 1921 and retiring in 1934. Bold full signature in blue ballpoint, heavy stock 5" X 3" card, n.p. [Seguin, TX], 1973 August 11. On the verso is a nifty ANS (signed "Sarge") in which he makes the following extraordinary offer: "I have a framed picture, 33" X 7½" of the Sox of 1927. I paid $11.00 to have it framed. It is a beutiful [sic] picture. It was taken in spring training at Shreveport La. Would you be interested?" The recipient did not have the foresight to take up Sarge on this great offer.
