Celebrated American actor, singer and dancer of stage and then silent films, the older brother of actor William Farnum became one of the biggest stars of early Westerns; he starred in dozens of silent films between 1914 and 1926, two of his more notable roles (both 1914) being Cecil DeMille's "The Squaw Man" and "The Virginian." Large and bold "Sincerely" and signature in brown ink on a heavy stock 3¼" X 2¼" card, n.p., n.y. (pencilled 1905 on verso). Very good. Mild age toning. A lovely example -- and exceptionally early, years before his first film appearance.
