Add to basketBig Band leader and renowned clarinetist known as the "King of Swing" whose many hits include "Sing, Sing, Sing" and "Stompin' at the Savoy"; immortalized on the screen in "The Benny Goodman Story" (1955), with Steve Allen portraying Goodman. Bold, large "Good Luck! / Benny Goodman / 1960" on an irregularly-trimmed (roughly oval) 4" X 3" slip, n.p. Very good. Four tape stains at edges, slightly impinging upon several letters. Still, a fairly attractive example. Accompanied by a fine modern 8" X 10" glossy black and white print showing a young Goodman in short-sleeve shirt playing clarinet, with Lionel Hampton at the harpsichord, Gene Krupa on drums and an unidentified pianist.
