The First, youngest and longest-serving team manager for England's national soccer team (1946-62) played soccer for Manchester United (1936-38) and contributed much to the sport later as F.A. director of coaching; he went to other high influential positions before retiring and being knighted for his services to the sport in 1978. Small but bold and beautiful signature in blue ballpoint, special heavy stock 5" X 3" card, n.p., dated 1980 September 6 in his hand. Fine. With original envelope.
