Large bold signature with sentiment on his oversized, 4 x 5.5-inch, embossed and printed calling card which reads: "Le General Gouraud - Membre du Conseil Superieur de la Guerre - Gouverneur Militaire de Paris." Paris, no date, circa 1925. Slight creasing in the top margin, but still very good condition. French General who was one of the leading figures in the history of French Colonization, having distinguished himself in the French Sudan, Mauritania, Chad and Morocco. During World War 1, Gouraud distinguished himself in Argonne (where he lost an arm), the Dardanelles and Champagne. In 1923 he became the Military Governor of Paris. Seller Inventory # 227907
