About this Item
This NASA administrator served as Kennedy Space Center Test Support Officer; he directed the Apollo countdowns. Signed First Day Cover, 6½" X 3½", cancelled at Kennedy Space Center, Florida on 2 August 1971 and with "First Day of Issue" boldly stamped. Two joined 8-cent "United States in Space" and "A Decade of Achievement" stamps at upper right. Fine. Near lower left, in black fineline, Donnelly signs boldly, adding "Assoc Dir Ops / KSC - NASA." Small portion of original transmittal envelope also present. Uncommon. Seller Inventory # 24301
