Long-time "Cleveland Press" staff photographer. Signed First Day Cover, 6½" X 3½", cancelled in Abilene, Kansas on 1969 October 14 and with "First Day of Issue" boldly stamped. Single 6-cent "Dwight D. Eisenhower" stamp at upper right. Fine. At lower left, in blue ballpoint, Noble signs boldly. Small portion of original transmittal envelope present. Noble took this iconic informal closeup of a grinning Ike at the former president's Gettysburg office in 1963. Quite uncommon.
