Panama's most renowned violinist studied in Paris and hit the international scene in the 1920s, performing throughout Europe and America to listeners as disparate as Mussolini and President and Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt; later named director of Panama's National Conservatory of Music; a Panamanian music festival is named in his honor. Signed Program, 8" X 10", 4pp, Washington, DC, 1959 January 29. Near fine. Single horizontal fold. Program for Saint-Malo's performance at the Hall of the Americas on behalf of the Pan American Union. On the second page, above a printed biography of him and alongside his portrait, Saint-Malo signs large and bold in black ink, adding "Sinceramente." Third page consists of the evening's performance, which included music by Aaron Copland and Maurice Ravel.
