John Maxwell Coetzee, was awarded the 2003 Nobel Prize in Literature for his novel 'Disgrace'. He was also awarded the Booker Prize for the same work. Coetzee is the first person to ever win the Booker Prize twice, having already won it in 1983 for Life &Times of Michael K. This particular work 'Slow Man' tells the story of a man learning to adapt following a car accident in which he lost his leg.
