8vo., Second Impression, with 16 coloured plates, 16 monochrome plates and 3 maps (one double-page); original blue cloth, backstrip lettered in white, a very good, bright, clean copy in price-clipped dustwrapper. A PRESENTATION COPY FROM THE AUTHOR WITH HIS SIGNED HOLOGRAPH INSCRIPTION ON FRONT FREE ENDPAPER. The dustwrapper of this title is notoriously prone to browning and chafing due to poor lamination; the present example is well above average. SIGNED COPIES ARE VERY SCARCE.
