Slight spotting to fore-edge of text block otherwise nr fine. John Stalker joined Manchester City Police in 1956 and by 1978 had become the youngest Detective Chief Superintendent in Britain. His investigation into the shooting of six men from the Provisional IRA led to his suspension from duty but he was later reinstated to his position as Deputy Chief Constable of Great Manchester Police. In this account of the investigation, John Stalker writes also of the effect the inquiry into his work on the case had and the public support he received. Bright, clean, unclipped dj has very good edges and tips. A little age-spotting to fore-edge of text block. SIGNED TO THE FRONT by author and dedicated to previous owner with date 18/2/88.
