Eighteenth impression of the first edition - this copy signed by the author on the title page. Large 8vo. 973pp. Paper-covered boards lettered in green at the spine. Map-illustrated endpapers. Head and base of spine lightly bruised and spine lettering very slightly defective in several places. A minor production fault finds the base of front pastedown lifting just a fraction. Very good indeed in virtually fine non-price-clipped (USA $35.00 / Canada $38.00) dust wrapper, just fractionally rubbed at head and base of spine panel.
