This picture book is one in a series of instructional picture-story books written and illustrated by the husband and wife team Maud and Miska Petersham. Our copy is signed by both writer-illustrators on the front free end-paper. Then - please note- some precocious juvenile forger practiced copying BOTH signers' autographs directly beneath them! This can be seen as either adorable or untenable - you be the judge! First published in the 1930's, our copy is a 1948 printing issued by the John C. Winston company. 8 x 8 inch hardcover bound in red leatherette; unpaginated (approx. 30 pages.) The cover shows wear to the tips and spine ends; the paste-down illustration is lightly rubbed, but is basically bright and clear, the color plates especially so. Internally clean, tight, with no other markings, rips or tears.
