George T. Diachok, CFP® was raised on a dairy farm in the bush country of northern Minnesota and has spent the last 55 years in the financial services industry as a life insurance broker, registered representative/financial planner, OSJ branch manager, and registered principal. In 1972 his entrepreneurial spirit drove him, along with Gordon Eddolls, to start Multi-Financial Corporation a national deposit term marketing company which led to the buy term and invest the difference concept. In 1982 he registered Multi-Financial Securities Corporation (MFSC) and that s when Russ, his youngest son, joined him in the business. MFSC grew fast and was merged into ING for a big pay day in April of 1998. In 2002 George and Russ left ING to start the independent Broker Dealer Geneos Wealth Management, Inc. In 2004 and 2005 Investment Advisor Magazine presented the prestigious Broker Dealer of the Year award in division I to Geneos Wealth Management, Inc., and in 2010 the company won for the third time in division II after only eight years in business.
As an entrepreneur he has the qualities that successful men and women possess in the pursuit of their goals and dreams. In George s case, he started his family early and depended on his sales and recruiting successes instead of a college education. He learned the Broker Dealer business by trial and error or as he likes to call it, The school of hard knocks. His accomplishments in the field on straight commissions and overrides, as a recruiter and business development manager, and as a business owner allow him to give you a unique insight into what it takes to be an entrepreneur. He firmly believes that, Nothing happens until the sale is made. This philosophy can be seen throughout his career and in the companies he created. Presently George is semi-retired and with this book became an author and publisher. He continues to be active in the business at age 84.
George and his wife Mary Jane celebrated their 64th anniversary on October 5, 2010. They reside in Columbine Valley, CO in a home they built in 1967. They have three children, five grandchildren, and three and one half great grandchildren who all live in Colorado. They have willfully combined their family and entrepreneurial demands into a success story which is the title of his memoirs, YES! We Did It!
