Synopsis
The Sultan in Atlantic City is the newest, biggest and most lavish casino in the world. Its clientele, an assortment of individuals with but one primary drive: to win money. Along, of course, with the expectation of having the kind of fun not readily available outside the boundries of a casino. The time frame of the Sultan if one eventful day (with a number of clarifying flashbacks) when all of the characters interact with one another, all with different, conclusive outcomes that a reader is bound to enjoy. The plot centers around a gang of thugs who attempt to extort cash. But the bomb they smuggle in doesn'g quite do the damage they hoped it would. Also, they hadn't figured on any interference from the gamblers, or the casino staff. Actually, they hadn't figured on much of anything except intimidating, posturing, and collecting those easy bucks. Readers who have never entered a casino will not only enjoy the Sultan, but will come to realize the excitement and to have a better understanding of why gambling has proliferated so, notonly throughout America, but in most other countries.
About the Author
Lee Rudolph received a degree in Marketing from the University of Baltimore and holds the insurance designation of CLU. He founded his own Managing General Insurance Brokerage, creating a specialty program: a bank single interest program which he expanded to thirty-five states. Lee sold his company to retire to study gambling, and to write. The Sultan is his third book and first novel.
