McMurtry writes in part: "It's not easy to get something about an American writer on the cover of NYBR. I was beginning to think they weren't going to publish it at all. Well, I think you ought to stay with it, Of course we'd take what you want to sell if it came to that but I hate to see anyone leave the business.".
