O'Flaherty, Charles. TRIFLES IN POETRY INCLUDING HERMITS MINSTRELSY. Dublin, Ireland: Printed for the AUTHOR, by R. CARRICK, 29,Bachelors'-walk. 1821. Poetry. Many of these poems appeared in the "Dublin Morning Post." Contains a neatly written undated manuscript (handwritten in ink) poem "To The Memory of Charles O'Flaherty" signed Ellen Agnes that was probably the author's sister. Pagination: (i-xiv) (1)2-128 (129-132). The manuscript poem is written on p (i-ii). p (129-132) are blank leaves. Hand marbled endpapers (free endpaper versos blank),12mo [ca 4 15/16" wide x 7 3/16" tall, gilt lettered and ruled spine, 3/4 green leather with blind tooling (green leather spine and tips), marbled paperboards (hardcover). Chas. O'Flaherty printed bookplate appliqued to front fixed endpaper. Exterior rubbed with a piece of the marbled paper missingand board showing on front cover; tightly bound; interior clear and clean with absence of fox. Looks good and in good antiquarian condition.

Store description

This collection of books belonged to my Father. He was an Antiquarian Bookseller most of his life. He owned and operated a retail bookstore for over 50 years in Florida. He then retired to the North Carolina Mountains where he continued to collect and sell books. Each one of these titles were hand held, personally described, and added to his inventory of collectibles.
