Javits thanks the American choreographer and dancer Agnes de Mille for her note and looks forward "with great anticipation to 'Conversations About the Dance'. Signed "Jack" by the senator in black ink. Folded for mailing, there is a tiny black ink spot near the top right corner. Very good. Jacob Koppel "Jack" Javits (1904-1986), served as a U.S. Congressman and subsequently New York Attorney General before he was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1956. A Liberal Republican, he served in the Senate from 1957 to 1981. New York's Jacob K.
