About the Author

Aaron Elson is the founder of the World War II Oral History web site at tankbooks dotcom. Although his original motto was "an author who creates his own web site has a fool for a webmaster," the site has developed into one of the most popular World War II sites on the Internet. In addition to four books of World War II oral history, Elson has been a headline writer for such newspapers as the New York Post, the New York Daily News and the Bergen Record. He grew up in New York City and studied creative writing with Kurt Vonnegut as a graduate student at CCNY.
