Published in conjunction with Anne McCaffrey's Guest of Honor appearance at Boskone 12, which was held Feb 28th - Mar 2nd, 1975 in Boston, Massachusetts. Bonnie Dalzell was the official artist of the convention. This book is a novelette, part of The White Dragon (published three years later, 1978).
