8vo. Green cloth with gilt front board lettering. 31pp. Fine. Handsome if bibliographically-cryptic unknown edition in custom boards. Inside front wrapper boldly inscribed and signed by the author in red crayon: "With best wishes to / my friend Irving Windt / Gordon Hester." (Front pastedown bears name/address label of "John Caldwell-Irving Windt Library of Checkers," a large collection in Dubuque, Iowa acquired by checkers collector Don Deweber in 1980 and founded in 1993 .) Some assign 1958 and Austin, Texas to Hester's booklet, but no copies examined here cite such information, so either this copy is a later printing or this information is supposition or derived from Lovell 320. Errata slip tipped in before title page and "Improvements, Corrections, Etc." slip tipped to last text page. Quite a choice copy.
