Octavo (8 x 6). 247 pp. Signed and inscribed by Arnold Gingrich to his long-time friend, Warren J. Oakes, on the limitation page. Frontispiece photo of Theodore Gordon, dated 1885. Sepia-toned plates of flies. With evocative contributions by fly fishing's best writers of time, including John McDonald, Roderick Haig-Brown, Ernest Schwiebert, Lee Wulff, Dana Lamb, A.J. McClane, Vincent Marinaro, et al. The book is bound in blue calf spine with gilt titles and blue boards. Decorated end papers by John Groth. Blue cloth slipcase with titling label. Quite scarce signed. A really nice book. About pristine in a like slipcase. Fine and fine. With the publisher's and TGF material laid-in. [Second Book] American Trout Fishing. New York. Alfred A. Knopf. 1966. Octavo (8 x 6). 247 pp. Sepia-toned plates of flies. This is the first trade edition and its contents are exactly the same as the TGF limited edition. This book is a review copy, with the publisher's slip laid-in. The book is bound in brown and green cloth gilt titles. Pictorial dust jacket. A very good book in a very good jacket.
