Typed Letter, Signed, with Printed Address and other material.

This is a printed address by Henry Cabot Lodge, delivered in Pittsburgh on January 20, 1956. It is on six legal-size sheets, typed (presumably photocopied), stapled in the upper corner. It is accompanied by a typed letter dated January 17, 1956, signed, from Lodge to Paul C. Smith, then editor of Collier's Magazine. The letter discusses the contents of the address, and in it Lodge refers to the address as his "Salute to Eisenhower" Speech. Smith's short letter back to him is present in a retained copy. Also included is a copy of a pamphlet published by the UN: In Grateful Remembrance. Korea, 1950-53. It is accompanied by a typed letter dated September 20, 1956, signed, from Lodge to Paul Smith, mentioning the pamphlet, to which Lodge contributed. Also present is Smith's letter of response, in a retained copy. Lodge's letters are on official Government letterhead, captioned: The Representative Of The United States Of America To The United Nations. Paul C.
