One page typed letter (8 1/2 x 11 inch) on Huntington Library letterhead, dated August 6, 1963 from Ray Allen Billington, resident scholar, to Bruce Le Roy of the Washington State Historical Society. In the letter Billington thanks LeRoy for a catalogue on western artists that he has sent him. Ray Billington (1903-1981) was a university professor and historian specializing in the American Frontier and has authored over 25 books on the subject. Bruce LeRoy was a leading expert on Pacific Northwest history.
