About this Item
Brief letter from Tyler sent to novelist Jay Neugeboren, regarding her lack of response to a request from Simon & Schuster for promotional comments about his 1985 novel BEFORE MY LIFE BEGAN. Tyler writes that she was only unwilling to offer a review due to her own "squeamishness" when presented with violent fiction about "rapes and castrations and such." She however wishes Neugeboren the best of luck for his novel. Offers an interesting look at both Tyler's personality and the publishing industry. 1 TLS (typed letter signed). Folded for insertion into stamped addressed envelope, included. Some toning to envelope and letter; else fine. Seller Inventory # 42498
