"The First Lady of the Silent Screen," whose films ranged from silent classics such as "Birth of a Nation" (1915) to made-for-television dramas such as "The Whales of August" (1987). TNS, 1p, 5" X 7", n.p., 1984 November 28. Addressed to Terry Kocsett. Near fine. On colorful red and green candy cane and evergreen bough holiday stationery, Gish sends Christmas greetings: "Thank you for your warm Christmas greetings and I extend mine to you and your loved ones." Boldly signed in black fineline. Also comes with an IPS, 4" X 6", n.p., n.d. Fine. Lovely flat finish modern print of an early head-and-shoulders closeup, inscribed near the bottom in black fineline: "Happy Birthday / Dear Terry / And fond wishes always / Lillian Gish.".
