Bin A. Typewritten letter from Alfred E. Smith to Edwin D. Peacock, one of the owners of The Book Basement in Charleston, South Carolina. Letter is signed by Smith and dated December 2nd, 1929, shortly after he lost the 1928 presidential election to Herbert Hoover. Envelope torn along one side. Letter is a little spotted from some oil, but text is bright and legible. Seller Inventory # 103157
