As an emerging artist in the 1960s, Jerry Uelsmann received international recognition for surreal, enigmatic photographs made with his unique method of composite printing. PROCESS AND PERCEPTION is a close look at how Uelsemann made those images. Not exactly a textbook, rather an invitation to use the darkroom to create images that were never in the camera. Signed w/inscription to former student/assistant on front page. First edition, first printing. Softcover, 8.5"h X 10"w, 47pp technique and discussion, 87pp B&W images. CONDITION: Good/Good+ No damage to book, just wear as expected in a well-read reference. One page has light stain at bottom, does not interfere with image [see last photo].
