Add to basketAs an emerging artist in the 1960s, Jerry Uelsmann received international recognition for surreal, enigmatic photographs made with his unique method of composite printing. Over the next six decades, his contributions to contemporary photography were firmly established with important exhibitions, prestigious awards and numerous publications.
The digital age inadvertently created a new audience for Uelsmann. Surrealism was revived when Photoshop emerged with its seemingly endless image-altering possibilities. By the 21st century, a young generation of photographers have become fascinated with Uelsmann's work.
'Process and Perception' is a close look at how Uelsemann made those images. Not exactly a textbook, rather an invitation to use the darkroom to create images that were never in the camera.
CONDITION: Good/Good+. Signed inscription to a former student/assistant on front page. No major damage to book, just wear as expected in a well-read reference. One page has light stain at bottom, does not interfere with image [see last photo].

100% Customer Satisfaction is my goal. Contact me if you are not satisfied with your order in any manner. Before ordering, please read the listing carefully - the listings are not auto-filled as much of that information is invariably incorrect. This means my listings may not agree with others, but I swear with my hand on The Modern Librarian's Guide to the Dewey Decimal System that this info is accurate.
Orders ship within 1 business day. If there is a problem or delay for any reason, I will contact the buyer immediately. And since it's just me here, I would prefer not to ship overseas. If you REALLY want the item shipped to you, no problem, but, for an average-sized hardback, the additional postage will be at minimum $20 USD for Canada, $40 USD for the UK, and $60 for AUS. Insurance may be additional depending on carrier.
