One of a special edition of 500 copies designed by Humphrey Stone, set in Dante type and printed on Rives Artist paper and quarter bound in green buckram with gilt lettered spine with Compton Marbling papered boards with the slip-case in green buckram and Ingres paper by Smith Settle Limited.Green page marker ribbon.A collection of letters spanning many years between Jacques and Gwen Raverat with Virginia Wolf.Well illustrated with drawings, paintings by Gwen and Jacques Raverat., 13 o fthem in colour, wood engravings, photographs and manuscript reproductions.The slipcase includes a green card folder containing the 4 page prospectus for the edition with the order form removed, and also a 76/500, numbered Gwen Raverat wood engraving; "Vence, La Place en Été", which she made at the height of this correspondence in 1923, hand printed by Simon Lawrence of the Fleece Press from the original boxwood block.The book is numbered 76 and signed by editor William Pryor on the colophon page.Fine copy in fine slipcase.
