About the Author
Formerly a Nieman Fellow in Journalism at Harvard, DANNY SCHECHTER made waves in the mainstream and alternative media for more than 30 years. Called the "alternative Walter Cronkite," he witnessed and participated in the history-making events of our age, from the founding of the Yippies in 1967, to Nelson Mandela's triumphant presidential election in 1994, for which Schechter was designated the exclusive filmmaker, to the Media and Democracy Congress of 1996, which he helped organize, to his most recent television production, Rights & Wrongs, which aired weekly on over 150 PBS and cable outlets nationwide. His many TV specials and films include Beyond Life: Timothy Leary Lives (1997), Countdown to Freedom: Ten Days that Changed South Africa (1994), narrated by James Earl Jones and Alfre Woodard, Sarajevo Ground Zero (1993), Mandela in America (1990), and The Making of Sun City (1990). For eight years a producer at ABC's 20/20, where he won two National News Emmys, Schechter reported from 45 countries and lectured at many schools and universities. He was co-founder and executive producer at Globalvision, a New York-based television and film company where he produced the award-winning series South Africa Now and co-produced Right & Wrongs: Human Rights Television with Charlayne Hunter-Gault. Schechter passed away in 2015.

All sales are in U.S. Currency. For shipping domestic orders (including territories and APO/FPO) we use U.S. Postal Service Media Mail. (please be aware that Media Mail is the slowest method provided by the USPS and shipments can take up to 4 or 5 weeks (usually however within 7 working days). For International orders: we ship only Priority International. If the item or set (after being wrapped) is too big to fit in a padded envelope, a request for extra charge will be submitted to the buyer. Sabra Books will NOT be responsible for any additional customs fees that may be incurred. We do NOT ship via United Parcel Service (UPS), FEDEX or DHL. PRE-PAYMENT IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO SHIPMENT. Purchase Orders are NOT accepted. Shipping charges for unusually large or valuable books will be provided by e-mail. Insured or expedited shipping is provided at cost, if requested. Our condition grading system is using Abe Books basic descriptive terms: As New-Fine-Near Fine-Very Good-Good-Fair-Poor-Binding Copy-Reading Copy. We guarantee the condition of every book as it's described on the AbeBooks web sites. Shipping terms
Shipping costs are based on books weighing 1.0 LBS. For all internation orders: If you ordered an item that is oversized (can not fit in a padded priority envelope) you will receive an email message requiring extra charge. The same applies for all domestic priority orders. Hawai orders will take 21-36 days to arrive with standard shipping. If you are interested in a faster delivery choose the priority option. Orders from Alaska can't meet the current shipping speed deadline (normally it takes 3 weeks or more to ship an item from the continental USA). If a buyer from Alaska or Hawai wants the item sooner they have to choose the priority option. We might require additional shipping charges for orders shipped to Hawai or Alaska. We wrapped all items shipped in a cardboard and use padded envelopes. For larger items we use cardboard boxes. **WE SHIP SELECTED DOMESTIC ORDERS WITH A DELIVERY SIGNATURE!!!. **
