Oversized hardcover with DJ. Brown cloth over boards with orange lettering on front cover and spine. Binding is tight and secure. Corners are square. Pictorial DJ is clean and glossy with minimal wear. Pages are clean, crisp, and bright. Images printed in full-color. Elliott & Clark Publishing. No date on title page. Copyright page dated 1992. Signed by authors on half-title page in black ink, just below printed title, inscribed "For Tom Lovejoy, With sincere appreciation for all that you've done" and dated June 1992. A very nice copy. This is an oversized book, so extra shipping will be necessary for priority or international shipping. This book is from the collection of Thomas Lovejoy. Dr. Lovejoy was an influential ecologist, field biologist, and activist; former head of the Amazon Biodiversity Center, World Wildlife Fund, and advisor to the United Nations and Smithsonian Institution. He is credited with introducing the term biological diversity to the mainstream environmental movement. In addition, he was a passionate collector of books on the natural world. Regular shipping by USPS Media Mail is $4. MEDIA MAIL SHIPPING DOES NOT INCLUDE TRACKING.
If you'd like tracking, please let us know before you place the order - We're happy to do it but it costs $1 extra because it means we have to print a shipping label for it individually, slowing down the shipping process considerably -- and we want to be able to keep basic shipping costs as low as we can.
