Aus: William Tombleson & William Gray Fearnside, Tombleson's views of the Rhine (London: Tombleson & Co. 1832). Grabdenkmal für den französischen General Louis Lazare Hoche (17681797), der während des französischen Revolutionskrieges am 18. April 1797 von hier aus den Rheinübergang seiner Truppen leitete. Auf der rechtsrheinischen Flußseite besiegte er in der Schlacht von Neuwied ein kaiserlich-österreichisches Heer. Sehr guter Zustand.J. Watts (1832 - 1846 tätig). Kupfer- und Stahlstecher.William Tombleson (um 1795 - um 1846). Englischer Zeichner, Kupferstecher und Verleger in London. Rechts unten signiert: J. Watts Sc.
