xxi, 383, [2] pp.; 8vo, illustrated, quarter olive green cloth, paper-covered boards, gilt title on upper cover and spine, slipcase. With about 40 essays accompanied by about 30 illustrations. This is one of 40 special copies hand-bound and with additional tipped-in material: 8 mounted original specimens of Updike's work, a printed insert giving details of the other mounted items, a digital copy of an unpublished photograph of Updike, and a facsimile of a page from his Book of Common Prayer in a rear pocket. Signed by Peterson on the colophon. As new.

Shipping terms
Orders usually ship within 3 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. Orders are shipped via US Postal Service Media Mail or US Postal Service Ground Advantage. Shipping cost to US addresses for the first book is $7.00 and $1.50 for each additional book. Insurance is additional at customer request only. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. Please email for a quote to ship via faster services (such as USPS Priority Mail or FedEx) or to ship outside of the US since these vary greatly by weight. Payment of taxes and duties, if any, imposed by government agencies or carriers such as FedEx, UPS and DHL on shipments to non-US addresses are solely the responsibility of the buyer.
