Your retirement account might be the riskiest thing you own — and no one told you.
Newly revised 3rd edition. Wall Street, your bank, and your 401(k) provider all profit when you hand over control of your money. Why the Rich Don't Die Broke: The Financial Prodigy's Secret of the Wealthy shows you how the wealthy actually do it instead — and why their approach looks nothing like yours.
Inside, you'll discover:
- Why traditional retirement accounts carry more hidden risk than most people ever realize
- How the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC) turns properly structured whole life insurance into a source of financing you control
- How to build wealth with contractual guarantees on your base cash value and tax-deferred growth — no market gambling required
- Why this strategy works at any life stage, from a policy on a newborn to a fresh start after 50
- How to stop renting your financial future from banks and start owning it outright
No jargon. No sales pitch. Just the financial education you were never given — laid out in plain English so you can act on it today.
Congratulations — your real financial education begins here.

About the Author
S. Paul Horsley is an authorized Infinite Banking Practitioner through the Nelson Nash Institute and a licensed life insurance agent who specializes in the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC). Intrigued by IBC when facing a financial crisis upon losing his pension as a professional airline pilot, he still flies for one of the largest major airlines in the world.
In this, his first book, Horsley takes the reader through the journey of how he and his family discovered and implemented the simple IBC system. He reveals how the current monetary system works-and why it is set up for us not to be the winners.
After discovering the Infinite Banking Concept and having years of firsthand experience with it, he decided to share it with friends. Soon after the realization that the system was changing not only his own family's life, but also the financial destinies of those with whom he shared it, he took the necessary steps to learn everything possible and to share his knowledge with those looking for an alternative to the current chaotic money system.
In this book, Horsley's goal is to share exactly how the IBC system works and the necessary steps to implement it. The result? A quick read that's easy to understand.
He and his wife Michelle are the parents of three children and reside in Hudson, Wisconsin, near the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.
