Wolverines in the Sky tells the true story of Michigan's fighter aces; fifty-six men who distinguished themselves by shooting down five or more enemy aircraft in aerial combat. Whether flying over the fields of Europe, the spanning waters of the Pacific, or the jungles of China, Korea, or Vietnam, each one of these men displayed extraordinary heroism in battle and earned a place in history as some of the finest military aviators the world has ever known. Men of action, men of courage, and most of all men of patriotism, these individuals played a key role in both the development of aviation and in the defense of our freedoms during every war of the 20th Century. Told in a collection of thrilling profiles that highlight each ace's exciting career, Wolverines in the Sky is a book not to be missed by any aviation enthusiast.
