Edition limited to 300 copies, signed by Levertov on the title page; 8vo, pp. [8], 45, [1]; mounted frontispiece portrait, title page printed in red and black; fine copy in original black cloth-backed handmade paper-covered boards, printed paper label on spine. From the library of Kim Merker. Originally published in London by the Cresset Press, 1946. "Three hundred copies of this edition were printed . Twenty-six copies, lettered A-Z, as well as a small number of hors de commerce presentation copies . were additionally provided with hard Japanese-style wraparound covers and supplemented with [The token] . a previously unpublished poem [not present with this issue]" (colophon).
