Deaccessioned from a Harvard University library, which overbound the original gray printed wrappers in a Gaylord Bros. pamphlet binder; the original wrappers are in bad shape: front wrapper has a stain in the top corner, much soil, and a 2 1/4 inch closed tear at fore edge; back wrapper is torn, worn and creased, with a 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch mega-chip at fore edge; front flyleaf also has 2 1/4 inch closed tear at fore edge; gutters (inner margins) of two plates at back are torn vertically, and therefore those two plates are close to coming loose; reading copy. Reprinted in 1895 from Journal of Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia, volume 9, part 4. Paginated 461-536, with in-text illustrations (in the Osteology part) and two plates. Oversize volume. 14 x 10 1/2 inches. [235b].
