the synaesthesia press specializes in the subversive, the forgotten, and the beautifully strange. I love Beat writers, literary outlaws, erotic ephemera, dirty realism, and vintage smut books and paper you don't typically find in polite company. You'll also find little mags, zines, photo books, found photography, and artists' books, with a special focus on Bukowski, Black Mountain, and outsider voices of all kinds. Sales from this store directly support the publishing work of the press, where I (letterpress) print and publish editions of poetry, fiction, and essays in small runs from authors and creators I believe in.
